big island residence
1/2
With approximately 4,500 sq. ft. of living space, this home was developed to fully embrace the climate, views and lifestyle of its South Pacific locale. By physically separating the main house, guest house and garage, the building closely mimics the scale and character of the local vernacular. The house opens itself to the trade winds with broad expanses of doors that disappear into the walls, blurring the separation between the home's interior and the lush surrounding landscape.
